The reed blocks are original Alfred Arnold and stamped, see photo. This is important to note,
as the AA makers of the time, understood craftsmanship, materials, voicing, and tuning.  So that, over the years, with care and steady play, the resulting tonal changes can be extremely pleasing to the ear.  This is important to note when considering bandoneon purchase.  Original Alfred Arnold reed blocks and plates, considered commodities during the golden age of tango, were off-times removed and replaced, thus removing the soul of the bandoneon.
